Knowledge Regarding COVID-19 Awareness among Private Dental Practitioners in Karachi

Objective: Study is to assess knowledge about corona among private dental practitioners in Karachi. 
 Design: Prospective cross sectional study.
 Materials & Methods: This study a cross-sectional conducted during the time period of May, 2020 Sept, The online questionnaire was divided into 2 sections, first one included biodata section including years practice and clinic area. second comprised regarding disinfection techniques against COVID-19 modes transmission COVID-19. There were 10 multiple choice questions presence SARS-CoV-2 on different surfaces found clinic. Effectiveness various disinfectants hand sanitizers asked viability steel surfaces, tissue papers, glass plastic material.
 Results: As our focuses only practitioners, we contacted them through emails questionnaires sent. Responses received by 125 dentists 20 did not provide with completely filled questionnaire. Among total 145 dentists, 67.2% (n=84) males 32.8% (n=41) female practitioners. Amongst 58.4% (n=73) had adequate disinfection, virus proper protective equipment. 33 scored 6 out 19 having score <6. Conclusion: global pandemic 2019 has led drastic changes healthcare setups way providing services. In this that around 60% have Private need take measures prevent transmission.
